Collection: Wael Hamadeh

Wael Kamel Hamadeh, born in Baakline, Lebanon, is an artist who transforms memory, identity, and heritage into timeless art. Guided by his sculptor father, he began his creative journey early, later studying at the Edinburgh College of Art. His travels to 55 countries and over half a million photos have enriched his work, which blends oriental surrealism and Middle Eastern folklore, reviving Lebanese village life with vivid color and emotion.

Hamadeh’s art challenges stereotypes and celebrates Arab identity while upcycling discarded materials into symbols of renewal. Since settling in Dubai in 1995, he’s held over 70 exhibitions across Lebanon, the UAE, and the USA, earning six international awards, including the United Nations Environment Prize. His work embodies Lebanon’s resilience and soul, showing how art can connect, heal, and immortalize heritage.
